LIGHTHOUSE BAPTIST CHURCH
OUR PASTOR
Pastor David Ellington and his lovely wife, Marilyn, have been faithfully serving Lighthouse Baptist Church for a little over eight years.
Pastor Ellington has an incredible testimony. He had been serving as a Sunday School teacher at a church in New Mexico when he realized he had never accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into his heart. As soon as he realized he was lost, he called upon the name of the Lord and became a born-again Christian and continued serving in that church.
When God called him to start pastoring Lighthouse Baptist Church in the little town of Superior, Montana, Pastor Ellington had no idea what to expect. He feared that Montanans might live in igloos and was not too excited about all of the cold weather. But he knew God had directed his heart and he was obedient to God's call.
Pastor Ellington has a tremendous love not only for the people of Lighthouse Baptist Church, but for the entire community of Superior. Mrs. Ellington faithfully teaches a children's Sunday School class and sometimes fills in on the piano when needed.
Our church is blessed to have such wonderful people leading us.

OUR CHURCH
Lighthouse Baptist Church is an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church.
What does that mean?
We are Independent.
Lighthouse Baptist is a local church which is not a member of or governed by any ecclesiastical organizations (for example, Southern Baptistist convention, General Association of Regular Baptist Churches, or Baptist Bible Fellowship).
We are Fundamental.
Lighthouse Baptist Church believes there are certain essential truths (or fundamentals) which should be believed and defended by all Christians (for example, that all 66 books of the Bible were inspired by God and written by men who were moved by the Holy Spirit, that Jesus was born of a virgin, that Christ died on the cross for the sins of all mankind, that He rose again three days later.) As fundamentalists, we do things the old-fashioned way and have not incorporated modern styles of musicc or worship into our services.
We are Baptist.
Lighthouse Baptist Church holds to the truths which have historically separated baptists from other denominations (for example, that the Bible is our sole authority of faith and practice, that the church has only two offices - the pastor and the deacons, that baptism is by immersion and is something that should be done after a person is saved.)
